(Index GRAU-2A29, in a number of sources referred to as T-12A and “Rapira”) – is a towed anti-tank gun designed in the late 1960s. Chief designer - Viktor Afanasiev. Manufacturer - Machine-Building Plant, Yurga.

In 1962, it was put into service by the 48448th Artillery Regiment in Maikop. The Rapira was nicknamed a sniper gun in the Armed Forces.

As of 2014, the Armed Forces of Ukraine has about 500 MT-12 Rapira guns in service.

In May 2018, modernized guns with an improved guidance system were tested. The modernization allows the guns to hit targets in low visibility conditions. In addition, the guns are equipped with new target retention systems that allows to hit moving targets more effectively.

In April 2021, according to the press service of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, an artillery unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine separate mechanized brigade started testing the 100-mm Czech-made UOF12 rounds for the MT-12 Rapira gun at the Rivne military training ground.

In addition to conventional shells, the Armed Forces of Ukraine use Stugna anti-tank guided missiles to fire the 100-mm MT-12 Rapira anti-tank gun.
