A delegation from the Doctrine and Education Advisers Group (DEAG) of the Department of Defence Cooperation at the US Embassy in Ukraine, led by the newly appointed head of the Group, Lt. Col. Robert P. Nesbit, visited the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovsky.

On February 22-26, 2021 the National Defence University of Ukraine hosts a training course for the professors of Ukrainian military universities and schools on protection of civilians in armed conflicts. The course is conducted by the Center for Civilians in Conflicts (CIVIC), international NGO.

In Multinational Staff Officers Training and Research Centre (MSOTRC) "UN Military Observer" course is ongoing. The course includes theoretical and practical training of the participants according to the standards defined by the United Nations Department of Peace Operations (UN DPO).

Іn the Multinational Staff Officers Training and Research Centre (MSOTRC) ongoing course of “Aviation Radio Communication for Aircrews”.
The educational process is as close as possible to the real conditions, where students perform special practical exercises according to the standards of UN aviation procedures (Aviation SOP). Radio communication of aircraft crews is conducted exclusively in English using aviation terminology, taking into account the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

NATO’s Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP) eAcademy recently offered students of the National Defence University of Ukraine a pioneering two-week programme focused on international security. The online course was shaped by NATO’s Counter-Terrorism Reference Curriculum (CTRC), which provides an overview of terrorist ideologies, motivations and methods, as well as contemporary counter-terrorism practices. The course helps participants develop the knowledge and skills needed to understand terrorism and counterterrorism in order to successfully anticipate and mitigate potential threats.

The students of the Command-and-Staff Course of tactical level visited the Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko National Museum of Arts in the framework of the module «Military Leadership» (L2). The visit provided students with possibility to see the largest collection of foreign art (about 20 thousands pieces) in Ukraine
