On July 24, for the first time, officers prepared and gave a commander’s media briefing as the block final test. They have studied commander’s role in strategic communications implementation, media communication, media literacy, crisis communications, civil-military cooperation, and democratic civilian control.
Gained skills, knowledge, and abilities will contribute to develop the strategic communications culture of new leaders at the tactical level.

Within the framework of the NATO DEEP (Defence Education Enhancement Program) from 20 to 24 July 2020, the representatives of the Research Advanced Distributed Learning Centre, the Foreign Languages Education and Research Centre and the NATO DEEP Program participated in the online meeting on the development of Computer Adaptive Language Testing in accordance with the NATO STATAG 6001 requirements.

On July 23-24, in Kyiv the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom experts give online training under “Strategic Leadership Program”. It is aimed at improving leadership skills and providing current managerial and analysis tools.
Chief of Education Branch of the NDUU Educational and Research Strategic Communications Centre participates in the mentioned event.

Graduation of Multinational Staff Officers Course, which was conducted in Multinational Staff Officers Training and Research Centre (MSOTRC) of the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi (NDUU) took place on July 17, 2020. The aim of the course is to provide students with theoretical and practical training on planning operations in accordance with NATO standards.

According to the curriculum of the university, in the period from 13 to 17 July 2020 the command post exercise with first-year student officers has been organized.
The peculiarity of this event is its conduct with the use of training facilities in the Training Center of the NDUU. In order to provide the activity of a separate mechanized brigade mobile control towers have been deployed. It allows to reproduce close to real working conditions of brigade C2 officers.

Within the framework of the formation and implementation of national gender policy by the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, the Ministry of Social Policy together with the UN Women Office in Ukraine was organized a set of strategic sessions from 6 to 16 of July to develop a draft of the National Action Plan of Ukraine to implement the UN Security Council Resolution 1325. "Women, Peace, Security" for the period up to 2026. Lyudmyla Krymets, the Gender adviser of Commander of the the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi, took an active part in developing operational goals and objectives for the next 5 years, setting indicators for the upper levels of goals in the strategic direction of Ukraine's institutional capacity to implement UN Security Council Resolution 1325.

SLP is designed to promote the development of a community of strategic decision-makers in the sector who share a common understanding and a whole-of-government approach to the transformation of the security and defense sector and its further systemic development.

After a careful elaboration of the curriculum of the L-3 Course, a teaching staff of the Foreign Languages Education and Research Center of the University has developed an “English Language Refreshment Course”. Its strategic goal is to ensure the improvement of communicative competence in listening, speaking, reading and writing at the SLP-2 (SMR-2) level of language proficiency in accordance with the NATO Standardization Agreement (STANAG 6001).
