On 15 July, Ukraine marks the Day of Ukrainian Peacekeepers. For decades, Ukrainian service members have taken part in international peacekeeping operations, representing our country with distinction and contributing to the protection of peace, human life, and international security in different parts of the world. Today, Ukrainian warriors are carrying out, without exaggeration, the most important peacekeeping mission of all — defending their own country, their people, and the right of nations to live free from war. Their combat experience, professionalism, and resilience have become an example for armed forces around the world.

Greeting by the Commandant of the National Defence University of Ukraine, Colonel General Mykhailo KOVAL, on the Day of Ukrainian Statehood Statehood does not begin with borders. It begins with people who know who they are. People who remember their roots, defend their homeland, speak their language, preserve their culture, and refuse to let others determine their future. That is why Ukrainian statehood is not merely a date on the calendar or a chapter in history. It is a continuous choice made by generation after generation—the choice to remain free, to take responsibility, and to stand united in defence of our nation. Today, Ukrainian defenders reaffirm that choice every single day. They defend far more than our land. They defend Ukraine's right to exist as a sovereign, independent state, to educate its children, to build its future, and to live in freedom.

When support is needed without delay, and the success of a combat mission depends on speed and precision, the Army Aviation of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine takes to the skies. Behind every combat sortie stands the coordinated work of a large team — flight crews, aviation engineers, technicians, flight support specialists, and everyone whose daily efforts make the most demanding missions possible. It is this unity, professionalism, and mutual trust that define the strength of Army Aviation. May Ukraine's skies always remain skies of freedom, strength, and our Victory! This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of Ukraine — the Fundamental Law that established the legal foundations of our independent state, defined human rights and freedoms, and affirmed Ukraine's democratic path of development. Today, amid the full-scale war, the Constitution is not only the legal foundation of our state but also a symbol of what we are defending. Sovereignty, independence, freedom, human dignity, and the rule of law are not merely principles. They are the values for which Ukrainian warriors fight every day, demonstrating to the world the resilience and determination of the Ukrainian people. The National Defence University of Ukraine educates officers capable of meeting the challenges of modern warfare, making responsible decisions, leading their personnel, and faithfully serving the Ukrainian people. It is such leaders who strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine and safeguard the future of our state.

Today, for the first time, Ukraine marks the Day of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is the day of warriors who prove every day that superiority on the battlefield is born not only from courage, but also from knowledge, technology, creative thinking, and the ability to stay one step ahead of the enemy. The Unmanned Systems Forces have become one of the most striking examples of how the Ukrainian military is transforming modern warfare. Their effectiveness, ingenuity, and professionalism have already secured a place in military history, while Ukraine’s experience is being studied by partners around the world. Behind every successful operation stand people — operators, engineers, commanders, instructors, researchers, and developers who strengthen our nation’s defense capabilities every day and help save the lives of Ukrainian service members.

Dear brothers-in-arms of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine! Please accept my sincere congratulations on your professional holiday. Your service begins where calm ends for others.
