The aim of the course is to prepare officers for further appointments to higher positions. The course is focused on the study of the officers work during the planning and conduct of battalion and brigade combat actions in the operations of forces groups. In the process of planning this course, the experience of developing programs in close cooperation with foreign partners, in particular, the Military Academy of the Republic of Lithuania, was used for the first time.

Representatives of the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi took part in Interservice / Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) in Orlando. This annual event attracted over 17,000 professionals, including military and industry leaders, domestic and international partners, support staff, and other stakeholders and consists of peer-reviewed paper presentations, tutorials, special events, professional workshops, a commercial exhibit hall, a serious games competition.

The university was completed higher academic courses in internal control and internal audit.

In order to develop military education and to deepen an inter-institutional cooperation in accordance with Program NATO DEEP-Ukraine within the period from December, 16 to December, 21 2019, professionals of the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi held the course “Military leadership” with cadets of Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy.

In December 19, 2019 at 169 Desna Training Center with citizens of Ukraine studying at Ivan Cherniakhovskyі National Defenсe University of Ukraine named after at the Department of Military Training under the training program of reserve officers in military accounting speciality «Combat Use of Mechanical Units, Military units and subdivisions »held another practical training on tactics.

As a result of a persistent fight, which was held on the court, the trophy and the victory in the tournament has been won by the team of the command-staff institute of the troops (forces) implementation.

The course “Military Leadership” was held by academic staff of the Social Sciences Department of the university with students of the Humanitarian Institute.

On December 18, 2019 a graduation ceremony was held at the Professional Development and Advanced Training Center at the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovskyi.

According to the plan of the Ministry of Defenсe and Armed Forces concerning the international cooperation, the delegation headed by Colonel Daniel Miller, Head of the Defence Embassy Department of the US Embassy in Ukraine visited the National Defenсe University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi.

Representatives from the National University – foreign language education and research center, aviation department, scientific laboratory of rocket and artillery department successfully completed a two-week operations planning course which was conducted 2 – 13 of December 2019 in the BALTDEFCOL. Tartu, Estonia.
