The educational course “NATO DEEP Instructors workshop”, was held from November 11 to 14, 2019, and was attended by 27 instructors of the Azerbaijan Higher Military Educational Institution named after G. Aliyev.

In accordance with the curriculum, scientific and pedagogical staff and the students of the Institute of Aviation and Air Defence took part in a practical lesson on the military command and control cycle using complexes of automation equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine's aviation and air defense automated control systemat anAir Forcemilitary unit.

The first round of advanced training and professional development courses on the development and improvement of the Armed Forces Management System was conducted at the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi.

On November 19, a delegation of scientific personnel from the US Army Forces Research and Development Laboratories met with the scientific staff of the Institute of troops (forces) support and informational technologies, personnel from the Main Department of Operational Support, Center for mine clearing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Military Science Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Practical Lesson was housed on the basis of the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprisefor student-officers of Aviation and Air Defence Institute.

Today, November 19, the high level strategic adviser to the Reform Committee of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Strategic Adviser of Defense Reform in Ukraine) from the Republic of Lithuania visited the National University of Defense of Ukraine, Major-General (retired) Vitalius Vykshnoras. The Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has begun work on drafting a new version of the Field Manuals of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

With the assistance of the Norwegian Embassy in Ukraine, a new edition of the book "Security in Northern Europe, Containment, Defense and Dialogue" was presented at the National Defense University of Ukraine. The event was attended by representatives of the military-diplomatic corps accredited in Ukraine, listeners, research and teaching staff of the NDU.

On the basis of the National Defence University of Ukraine the international brigade command-staff exercise(CSE) was completed. It involved more than 100 officers - students of the command and staff institute of troops (forces) implementation of the NDU, as well as trainees and instructors of the command and staff course of the General Military Academy named after General Jonas Jamaitis. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine MarusYanuconis was accompanied by Colonel AlgirdasNorkus, Defence Attaché of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine, Romania and Moldova.
