The “Multinational Staff Officer Course” is underway at the Education and Research Center for International Peacekeeping of the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi, which is designed to study NATO operational planning process, to prepare staff officers to participate in international peacekeeping and peace support operations, and in multinational command post and live exercises.

The UN Military Observer Course, which includes theoretical and practical training in accordance with the standards of the UN Peacekeeping Operations Department, is ongoing at the Education and Research Center for International Peacekeeping of the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi. Currently, 21 officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are undergoing training.

As a part of the basic module of the operational level master's program, the classes on the basis of using the ADL platform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and means of the simulation were held at the university.

National Defenсe University of Ukraine hosted a working meeting between the leadership of the educational establishment and representatives of the office of defense cooperation at the US Embassy in Ukraine, headed by Colonel Daniel Miller. The high level advisers Major Pantoja and Major Page were present at the meeting. During the meeting, the Deputy Chief NDU for Academic Affairs Major-General Serhii Salkutsan informed the delegation about the structure, tasks and prospects of development of the university's educational activities.

The special training course for brigade commanding and staff officers of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues at the University. The visit of Representatives of the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) to the Simulation Center has occurred during this course. The main goal of the visit was to provide the consultations to the brigade officers on issues of the International Humanitarian Law norms during combat operations.

2-5, September 2019 on the base of Operational Support and Logistics Institute of the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi officers of logistics are taking part in the LOGFAS User Training Course.

On August 29, 2019, a presentation of “Philosophy of Law. European Paradigms of Law” the textbook prepared and published by Alexander Haidulin, Candidate of Law, Candidate of Philosophy, Associate Professor, Professor at the Department of Legal Support of the Humanitarian Institute.

The common desire of these young people is to change ordinary clothes into uniforms, to move to another city, to meet new people, to find new friends, to take responsibility and to feel like a realman.

Within the framework of the implementation of the gender policy of Ukraine, the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and the Office of the United Nations Women in Ukraine organized a workshop for representatives of educational institutions of the security and defence sector on integrating the gender component into the curricula on August 27-28. The event was moderated by the Government Ombudswoman of Ukraine Kateryna Levchenko.

On August 23, 2019, the chief of educational and research center of strategic communications in the sphere of national security and defense, doctor of science in public administration, senior researcher, lieutenant colonel Salnikova Olga held a lecture on “СIMIC Operations in ATO/JFO Best Practice” for officers who participates in the Great Army Command and Staff course at the Military Academy of Lithuania (Vilnius).
