On August 23, 2019, a missile defense conference was held at the Air Force Training Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the topic "Results of tactical exercises with combat firing units of the anti-aircraft missile forces of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, control flying tests of anti-aircraft guided missiles and special firing of anti-aircraft missile system at the State Testing Ground of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Producing proposals to improve the quality of the organization and perform the tasks of tactical exercises with combat shooting".

The other day practical training on fire activity and tactical medicine was held at the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi with cadets from the educational and research institute of physical culture and sports and wellness technologies.

Advance leadership Course for NCOs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was organized on the basis of Ivan Chernyakhovsky National Defense University of Ukraine. The Course’ was finished for 29 NCOs who are waiting for appointment or currently hold the positions of Battalion CSM and above. The curriculum of the NCO’s Courses consists of two stages – Leadership and Specialty Courses.

The faculty development course (phase 3) has started at the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovskyi in the framework of the NATO DEEP – Ukraine Cooperation program. The event is part of the Cooperation Plan for 2019 and is the third in the context of improving the pedagogical skills of the university's teaching staff to successfully implement the transformation of the NDU educational programs, primarily to train leaders at the strategic and operational levels, as well as developing the defence management school courses.

On August 12, 2019, the second phase of the initial military-professional training of first-year cadets of the Physical Education and Sports Technology Training Institute on the specialty 017 "Physical Culture and Sports" began at the Ivan Chernyakhovsky National University of Ukraine Training Center.

In accordance with the curricula and programs of instruction, student officers of the Aviation and Air Defense Institute had been undergoing training from July 30 to August 2, 2019, at the premises of the Air Force military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the framework of NATO DEEP Program the representatives of the University participated in the second working group concerning the Computer Adaptive Language Testing development according to NATO STANAG 6001 from July 26-30, 2019 at the Polish Naval Academy of the Heroes of Westerplatte in Gdynia.

According to the Plan of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine from June to July 2019 led by the Main Derictorate of Moral and Psychological support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from 23 to 25 of July 2019, a training course on behavioral health was conducted by a mobile training group of the US Armed Forces in Europe on the basis of Zhytomyr Military Institute named after Serhii Korolov.

The Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine hosted Ukrainian Frontier: Challenges for Transcarpathia and Black Sea Coast region round table.

Kyiv hosts a training on methodology of result based management to be used in planning, execution, monitoring, and assessment of the Annual National Program (ANP) which was organized by the Expert Deployment for Governance and Economic Growth (EDGE) Project (Canada).
