ADL Course for Scientific and Pedagogical Staff of Higher Military Educational Institutions and Military Educational Units of Higher Education Institutions on the Organization and Using Distance Learning Technologies was conducted during March-April 2021 on the basis of the ADL scientific center of the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi. The readiness of the teaching staff to use modern information technologies is extremely important which is indicated by the participation and successful graduation of 76 teachers from 21 higher military educational institutions and military educational units of higher education Institutions of Ukraine

April 28 and 30, 2021 the representatives from the NDUU demonstrated the developed program software for the conduct of the computer adaptive language testing (CALT) according to the NATO STANAG 6001 requirements during the international online meetings. The representatives from the PfP Consortium Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Working Group, and the experts from the Bureau for International Language Co-Ordination (BILC) participated in the meeting. Today, the CALT software and methods improvement measures and events are conducting in the framework of the International Scientific Project “Computer Adaptive Language Testing – CALT” under the umbrella of the NATO DEEP program.

During April 27-29, 2021 representatives of the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi participated in the 9th Annual Advanced Distributed Learning NORDEFCO Conference. The main areas of interest are sharing of learning content and lessons learned in the field of procurement, development, implementation and evaluation of technology-based learning concepts.

Today, March 17, a professional development session on systemic approach to training (SAT) for representatives of the General Directorate of Doctrines and Training of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, commands of training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine services, as well as higher military educational institutions that are directly involved in the planning and organization of the educational process, has started. The session is held within the framework of the NATO DEEP Program and with the support of the Operation UNIFIER.

In accordance with the contractual documents, the Center of Retraining and Improving Qualification continues to train the servicemen of the Armed Forces of the People's Republic of China, with the specialization "Information Security Management in the Armed Forces" and the servicemen of the Republic of Korea, with the specialization "Combat use and management of military intelligence and special forces units ”.

1 March 2021 FLERC started a new PD course for English teachers of MOD and Defence and Security Sector of Ukraine (PDCELT) based on the ICELT Programme of Cambridge University. ICELT-Ukraine Course was started in 2005 by Peacekeeping English Project of the British Council and run by native speakers and successfully continues by the trainers of the Department of foreign languages of NDU after the PEP had finished its work. The ICELT-Ukraine course trained about 80 teachers from all over Ukraine, who received the certificates of both the NDU and the Cambridge University. Unfortunately the Cambridge University decided to close the ICELT project worldwide from 2020.
