Visit of the delegation of the National Defenсe University of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovskyi to the Military Academy of the Republic of Croatia named after Franjo Tudjman

Recently, within the bilateral cooperation framework between the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi and the Croatian Military Academy, the representatives from the University led by the University commandant lieutenant-general Anatolii Syrotenko participated in the international conference on the topic: “Improvement of study programs for the needs of the Croatian Armed Forces”, held in Mali Lošinj, Croatia.

The event focused on topical issues of improving bachelor's and master's training programs for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia, the Navy of the Republic of Croatia, as well as training programs in military leadership, project management and military engineering, taking into account experience, needs and issues of the Armed Forces management.

Organized by the Croatian Military Academy Dr. Franjo Tudjman, the international conference was attended by representatives of the University of Zagreb, the University of Split, the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia, the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Air Force of the Republic of Croatia and the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovskyi.

During the speeches and discussions, the issues of improving the military training system, the peculiarities of the organization and the specifics of the development of university curricula were considered.

The Ukrainian delegation got acquainted with the structure of the Croatian military education system, the Croatian Qualifications Framework, its role in the higher education system, the specifics of developing military professional standards and the features of cooperation between the University of Zagreb and the University of Split, as well as the Military Academy of the Republic of Croatia, and the University of Zagreb.

Under previous arrangements, educational institutions will continue to cooperate in the development of educational programs and the implementation of advanced education and training techniques.
