An electronic educational and methodical manual “Theory and Practice of Distance Learning in the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, Part 2 (Chapter 5) is presented.

Scientific Distance Learning Center of The National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi presented an electronic educational and methodical manual “Theory and Practice of Distance Learning in the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, Part 2 “E-learning System of Higher Military Educational Institutions and Military Educational Units of Higher Education Institutions” (Chapter 5).

The manual covers Chapter 5 “Guidelines for the use of e-learning technologies in higher military educational institutions and military educational units of higher education institutions” based on using the learning management system MOODLE.

The manual will be useful for those involved in the educational process in terms of the active use of distance learning technologies.

The material of the manual is presented in the form of video lessons, which are structured according to the relevant playlists and posted on the YouTube channel of the Scientific Distance Learning Center.

The videos review the capabilities of the learning management system MOODLE to ensure the educational process using distance learning technologies. Particular attention was paid to the BigBlueButton video conferencing software.

The manual was created using the free software H5P (https://h5p.org/), which allows the creation of modern interactive content for distance learning.
