7th annual NORDEFCO ADL Conference in Gol, Norway

May13th-16th, 2019 Deputy Commandant for Academic Affairs of the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi Maj.Gen Serhii Salkutsan and Chief of ADL Center Lt.Col Maksym Tyshchenko participated in the 7th annual NORDEFCO ADL Conference in Gol, Norway.

The aim of the conference was exchange of experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of training concepts based on modern technology. During the Conference special trainings and thematic panels were planned.

On May 13 representatives of the University joined the Advanced Distributed Learning Global Partnership Network Directors’ Meeting  which was organized by the Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative (the USA government program  reporting to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Force Education and Training , under the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Readiness). During the Meeting, the latest development trends and experience of using ADL technologies for the military specialists training were discussed. Within the framework of the Meeting Maj.Gen Serhii Salkutsan took part in the panel during which the participants were introduced with achievements and challenges of ADL technologies implementation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Also, the program of the Conference was scheduled to hold the Senior Leaders Panel in the work of which Maj.Gen Serhii Salkutsan was invited to attend. The participants of the Panel were: Lt.Gen Goran Radovanovic, Dean of the Military Academy Republic of Serbia; Rear Adm Henrik Ryberg, Commandant of the Royal Danish Defence Collage; Dr (PhD) Sae Schatz, Director of ADL Initiative, US Department of Defence; Brigadier General Jukka Sonninen Chief of Training, Finnish Defence Staff; Brigadier Slaven Blavicki, TRADOC Commander, Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Commodore Lars Arne Aulie, Chief of Staff, Executive Officer, Norwegian Defence University Collage. Panel participants discussed informatization issues of military personnel education and training.
