An Іnternational scientific forum “Maritime Strategy of the State. Development and Realization of Maritime Potential of Ukraine”

The participants of the International scientific forum discussed development priorities of the state naval capabilities.

On May, 22-23, 2019 in  the National Defense University of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovsky the International scientific forum “Maritime Strategy of the State. Development and Realization of Maritime Potential of Ukraine” conducting.

The representatives of state agencies, Ukrainian Department of Defense, General Staff, Navy, Border Guard of Ukraine authorities, specialists of the National Scientific Academy of Ukraine,  defense enterprises, research establishments and  higher educational establishments, experts of NATO take part in an event.

The purpose of event is a discussion of state’s maritime strategy development ways in presence, in particular, measures of collective security and defensive in the conditions of Russian Federation’s aggressive actions in Black Sea region, decision of defensiveness development problems of  the state at the seaside, Ukrainian maritime potential development and recommendations determination in relation to the ways of their decision taking into account foreign experience.

Main attention of forum participants is spared the discussion about new Maritime Doctrine of Ukraine requirements realization ways, Strategy of the Naval Forces of Ukraine 2035 and doctrinal document of Ukrainian Naval Forces employment, which was activated at April  2019. It is important to underline that in development this documents the scientifically pedagogical and scientific workers of the National Defense University of Ukraine accepted direct participation.

On work results it is planned to work out suggestions which will be given to state and military agencies of Ukraine for national security decision making for realization of state maritime strategy and  Ukrainian naval capabilities.
