The scientific and practical seminar "Problems of application of simulation systems in the Armed Forces of Ukraine" was held at the University

On June 4, 2020 the scientific and practical seminar "Problems of application of simulation systems in the Armed Forces of Ukraine" was held in the simulation centre of the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi. The seminar was held in the form of a video conference in a remote format due to quarantine measures in the country.

Heads of simulation centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, scientific and pedagogical personnel of higher education and research institutions of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine and representatives of other components of the security and defence sector of Ukraine attended the workshop.

During the reports and their discussion, it was noted that the use of the latest information technologies, in particular, simulation of combat operations is one of the most effective ways to improve the practical component of the educational process in higher military educational institutions and training troops (forces) in modern conditions, and it is a simulation that plays an important role in the increase of efficiency of troops (forces) command and control training.

According to the results of the seminar, the problematic issues of using simulation tools and possible ways to solve them as well as promising areas of cooperation between higher education institutions, research institutions and simulation centres within the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Ukraine and at the interagency level were identified.
