A one-week refresher course for scientific and pedagogical staff of the National University of Defence of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovskyi within the framework of NATO's DEEP (Defence Education Enhancement Program) has been completed.
The event was the final, fourth stage in the context of improving the pedagogical skills of scientific and pedagogical staff (MIP FDP).
The main moderator of the course was Mary McCully, an expert at the NATO Defence Education Enhancement Program (DEEP) and professor emeritus of the National Defence University of USA.
Leading scientific and pedagogical staff of the National University of Defence of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovskyi and the National Institute of Taras Shevchenko National University of Ukraine, who completed three previous stages of the course, were involved in the training.
The main result of the four-level course was to increase the level of research and teaching staff professional training, improve previously acquired and acquire new competencies in teaching, taking into account the best world and European educational practices.
This allows the formation of the higher military educational institutions sustainable capacity for the creation and implementation of quality educational programs based on modern methods of active learning.
Successful completion of all stages of the refresher course entitles the National University of Defence of Ukraine for the next 10 years the status of a certified participant in the Program for improving the pedagogical skills of scientific and pedagogical staff.
