Representatives of the Aviation and Air Defense Institute took part in the ESRI User Conference in Ukraine

The 22th ESRI User Conference was held in Kyiv, Puscha Vodytsia, on September 26-27, 2019, at the Congress Hotel Pushcha.

The conference was devoted to the application of ArcGIS geoinformation technologies in various areas of government and nongovernment organizations (NGOs) in Ukraine.

Areas that offer the benefits of using geoinformation systems in the development of decentralized investment projects using ESRI technologies such as data collection, processing and process modeling tools were considered.

Representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, line ministries, local governments and executive authorities of regions and NGOs were invited to participate in the conference.

During the conference, in particular, the features of the use of Drone2Map for ArcGIS software with the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, including those presented at the exhibition – OBSERVER-S and Aibot, were discussed.

The conference also included discussions in thematic sections, workshops and exhibitions, presented the best Ukrainian and world examples of successful implementation of ESRI technology, major trends in geo-information systems, in particular in the military field.

The University’s representatives actively participated in the conference. Scientific and pedagogical staff of the Institute of Aviation and Air Defense were headed by Deputy Chief of the Department of Aviation Colonel Sergei Korotin.

According to the conference participants, such a joint international event is an important element in the implementation of geo-information technology in the military field, taking into account the best practices of NATO and Partner countries.
