Scientific and practical seminar of the Institute of Aviation and Air Defence on the organizing of the antiaircraft defence of arsenals, bases, storages from air attack weapon and ways to solve them

A scientific and practical seminar entitled "Problems of organizing the antiaircraft defence of arsenals, bases, storages from air attack weapon and ways to solve them" was held at the Institute of Aviation and Air Defense of the University on March 28, 2019.

The main task of the seminar was to discuss complex issues and achieve unity of views on possible areas of objects coverage of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from air attacks.

Representatives of the Military-Scientific Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Air Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Command of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Armament of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Kharkiv National University of the Air Forces named after Ivan Kozhedub, scientific and pedagogical personnel of the University participated in the seminar.

The following issues were considered during the scientific and practical seminar:

problematic issues of arsenals, bases, storages;

problematic issues in the organization of the coverage of arsenals, bases, storages, including the problems of organizing signal intelligence and electronic warfare, in the course of the organization of defence and coverage of protected objects from terrorist attacks from the air;

problems of counteracting low, slow and small unmanned aerial vehicles concerning the terrorist threat to arsenals, bases, storages during daily operations of troops.

It is worth mentioning that the results of the scientific and practical seminar will be taken into account by specialists of the Institute of Aviation and Air Defence during the development of a methodological manual on this subject.
