On June 2, 2021 the senior lecturer of the information technologies application and information security department of the National University of Defence of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovskyi, an employee of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yurii Tsurko conducted an online lecture for students of the Swedish Defence University (SEDU) on the topic "Russia's use of operations of influence and possible ways to counter." This session was a part of an ongoing course on regional security aspects and the impact of the Russian Federation in the framework of a joint operations education program for senior officers in the Swedish Armed Forces.

Similar international cooperation events with the participation of the Swedish Armed Forces and other defence institutions representatives have been held at the National Defence University of Ukraine in recent years, but have been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Today's event was initiated by the Swedish side, and its implementation was facilitated by the active support and participation of the Foreign Languages Educational and Research Center and the Institute for Troops (Forces) Support and Information Technologies of the University.

This event is extremely important and marks the resumption and further development of cooperation between the two countries and their main educational institutions in the field of security and defence, as well as the military education system reform results, quality improvement, implementation of relevant doctrines and other NATO standards, as well as best practices of other countries in the educational process.
