The university was completed higher academic courses in internal control and internal audit. The course was held for five days from December 16 to December 20 this year.

The training was attended by representatives of the structural units of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, units of internal control of military management bodies and servicemen who have been appointed to positions of the respective profile of activity in the newly created military management bodies.

Requirements for new guidance documents defining the procedures for internal control and risk management were explained for the trainees.

During the week, the students got acquainted with the basic approaches and principles to the organization of the internal control, modern methods of risk assessment, the basics of process management and approaches to the optimization of the main and working processes in the activities of central executive authorities, as well as tools and mechanisms for fraud prevention and auditing.

During the practical part of the course, the students were identified and evaluated the risks in the business processes used in the organization of providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine sustainment.

Colonel Anatoly Pusan, a representative of the Operational Command North, briefed the attendees on the practical aspects of conducting internal control checks at subordinate military units and establishments.

A good tradition of the courses was the invitation to their participation by a representative of the US Embassy - Senior Financial Advisor Stephen Silverstein and Advisor to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine - Lyudmila Nefyodova, who shared with the students the modern approaches to the internal control and risk management in the NATO.
