On October the 25th the Norwegian Defence University College delegation, led bythe Commandant, Major General Henning, accompanied by Commander Senior Grade Bjørn Ole Grodås, Defence Attaché of the Kingdom of Norway in Ukraine, took part in the daily morning ceremony on the Ministry of Defence grounds in the Hall of Memory of the Defenders honoring the Ukrainian defenders who died for the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of our country as well as during the international operations to maintain peace and security throughout the world.

Foreign guests laid flowers at the memorial stele and observed a minute of silence in honor of the fallen Ukrainian heroes.

The Hall of Memory of the Defenders of Ukraine was created to honor the memory of servicemen who died for the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. It is specifically located so that servicemen, employees of the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff of Ukraine, as well as ordinary citizens can enter the Hall and pay tribute to their defenders.

There is a square for ceremonial events and the Memorial sign with fragments of shells with the Bell of Memory near the building of the Hall of Memory. The daily memorial ritual is performed by ringing the bell, depending on the number of defenders, fallen on that day.

In the middle of the Hall of Memory, on special podiums, there are Books of Remembrance with the names of the fallen. The structure of the Books is built on the principle of the calendar: one page - one day, which mentions all those who died on this day for all years.
