New Democratic Civil Control training course to be implemented in NDU curriculum

The representatives of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, National Defence University of Ukraine (the NDU), OSCE Project Coordinator, and national democratic civil experts have paid a study visit to the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF).

The Ukrainian delegation toured the DCAF infrastructure, learned more about its activities in democratic civil control over the armed forces, gender equality in the armed forces and cooperation of the armed forces with civil society.

This visit is also aimed at completing the development of “Democratic Civil Control over the Armed Forces of Ukraine” course to be implemented in the NDU Master’s operational curriculum as supported by the OSCE in order to harmonize the education and training program of the future leadership in line with the best world military practice.
