University representatives participate at the Multinational Command Post Exercise "Rapid Trident-2019"

“Rapid Trident-2019” Multinational Command Post Exercise is ongoing at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center (Lviv region), with more than 3,500 troops from 14 countries. The purpose of the CPX is to exchange professional experience and to increase the level of interoperability between the units and headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the United States, other NATO member states and partners. The CPX phase of the training is supported by JCATS simulation tools.

According to the training structure, the Simulation Center of the University operates as a remote unit (distributed element of the CPX). The Multinational Brigade Headquarters is deployed at the SimCenter. Headquarters duties are performed by Ukrainian and foreign officers of the Multinational Staff Officer Course, as well as the staff of the Educational and Research Center for International Peacekeeping of the University. The group of Technical support was formed from the Simulation Center personnel. Also, representatives of the Simulation Center perform tasks at the Headquarters of CPX (HICON, White Cell) at the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security.

Colonel Jesse Miller and Lieutenant Colonel Dillon Haynes (Californian National Guard, USA) visited the Simulation Center to observe the “Rapid Trident-2019” CPX and features of training at the University.
