Continuation of foreign military specialists training at foreign language courses

In accordance with the contractual documents training of two military servicemen of the People's Republic of China and one serviceman of the Republic of Korea continue at foreign language courses at the Center of Retraining and Improving Qualification at the National Defense University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi.

The aim of the course, which lasts for eight months, is to study special military terminology and create a linguistic base for further training of foreign military specialists in educational-professional programs of operational-tactical level of training at the Master’s level. The international group helps foster speaking skills as the language being learned is common to the learners.

Classes with the students are conducted by the most experienced scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Foreign Languages of the University.

The basis of training is the communicative approach that draws on using visual materials, practicing situational communication, training emotional memory.

In addition, the curriculum of the courses provides practical excursions, during which the students reinforce their skills in real communication situations, as well as get acquainted with the history, culture and traditions of the country where they are studying.

Over the last ten years this direction of training has facilitated the deepening of cooperation between Ukraine, the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Korea on the military training issues.
