Working Group’s Visit on Engineering Support matters with the representatives of the Armed Forces of Canada

On 10th December, a meeting of the representatives of the Armed Forces of Canada and Ukraine took place at the National Defence University of Ukraine. During the meeting the issues related to training programs development for the engineering component of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in accordance with existing needs and standards during conducting the courses in 2020 academic year were discussed.

The event was attended by the head of the Department of Environmental Security and Mine Action of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine Colonel Maksym Komisarov, the representative of the Main Directorate of Operational Support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Colonel Ruslan Shutov, the head of 143 Demining Center of the Main Directorate of Operational Support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Colonel Volodymyr Rodikov, a representative of the National Land Forces Academy named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi Colonel Dmytro Okipniak, a representative of the Operational Standards Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Colonel Vadym Shpak and the head of the Institute of Troops (Forces) Support and Information Technologies of the National Defence University of Ukraine Colonel Oleksandr Matsko.

As a result of the meeting, the representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Canada, the issue on the current state of the training programs development concerning the control of demining activity process was considered.

In addition, was proposed the development of the system of Mining Situation Reporting and its further implementation in combat actions area.
