Leadership Officers' Joint Leadership (L3) Leadership Course and Strategic Top Level Leadership Course (L4) were initiated

On January 10, the leadership courses on Advanced Programs for Officers of Joint Operations (L3) and Senior Management (L4) have started at the University.

The programs are adapted according to the widespread use of officer training in NATO member countries' military education systems, in particular the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL).

Twenty officers with academic degrees began treir training at Joint Operational Headquarters course.  The renewed course training term is 6 months.  In the future, the course program will focus solely on the study of the operational planning process and cover the full range of operations of troops (forces) at all levels.  The peculiarity is that the program contents will replace the operational and strategic level training of military specialists in the University.

The program of the senior management course is fundamentally different from the existing programs and is focused exclusively on defense and strategic planning issues and is aimed at developing the students strategic thinking.  Thus, at the same time as the officers of the operational level, 13 officers of senior link have started their training.  Duration of study - 6 months.

A wide involvement of foreign advisers and partners is planned for the organization of the educational process, as well as the participation in the training sessions and conducting an independent examination of the training programs.
