The Workshop for representatives of security and defence sector educational institutions on integrating the gender component into education programs

Within the framework of the implementation of the gender policy of Ukraine, the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and the Office of the United Nations Women in Ukraine organized a workshop for representatives of educational institutions of the security and defence sector on integrating the gender component into the curricula on August 27-28. The event was moderated by the Government Ombudswoman of Ukraine Kateryna Levchenko.

Adviser to the Head of the University for Gender Affairs Liudmyla Krymets actively participated in the approval of the thesis-plan for writing methodological recommendations on integration of the gender component into the educational programs of the educational institutions into the security and defence sector. She had presented the results and some peculiarities of the principle of gender equality implementation process that is taken part at the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi.

During the workshop, the participants had an opportunity to get acquainted with the theoretical and practical aspects of gender analysis in the security and defence sector of Ukraine, to share their experience and plan joint activities for the next year.
