The Workshop «Basics of gender policy. Practical experience in implementing the principle of gender equality» with the participation of the NATO adviser

 Within the framework of the implementation of the gender policy of Ukraine, 28 January 2021 in the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi was provided a workshop «Basics of gender policy. Practical experience in implementing the principle of gender equality in the policies of NATO member states and policy of Ukraine» for students of the operational level. The event was moderated by Ludmila Krymets - Gender adviser to the Head of the University and Frank Jeppsen - NATO Military Adviser at the University. The training was conducted in English.

During the training, participants had the opportunity to be acquainted with the theoretical and practical aspects of gender policy formation at the national and international levels, with the main documents that define the key aspects of gender perspective. Listeners actively participated in the analysis of the main goals, objectives and challenges of implementing the principle of gender equality both for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and for NATO member states and partners. At the end of the training, the participants formed and represented their own approaches of integration between Ukraine and NATO on the way to ensuring the principle of gender equality.
