University hosted a working meeting between the leadership of the educational establishment and representatives of the office of defense cooperation at the US Embassy in Ukraine

National Defenсe University of Ukraine hosted a working meeting between the leadership of the educational establishment and representatives of the office of defense cooperation at the US Embassy in Ukraine, headed by Colonel Daniel Miller. The high level advisers Major Pantoja and Major Page were present at the meeting.

During the meeting, the Deputy Chief NDU for Academic Affairs Major-General Serhii Salkutsan informed the delegation about the structure, tasks and prospects of development of the university's educational activities.

Foreign guests were also represented about the university's structural units, which actively cooperate with international organizations of NATO member states and partners.

The parties discussed the status and prospects of transformation of the military education system which works closely with international matters and NGOs, the prospects of applying NATO standards for career advancement of Ukrainian officers, the use of progressive teaching techniques that will accelerate and make successful the introduction of new educational programs.

Whith the presence of the new US Advisor to NDU on plans and operations Major John Berholf, parties agreed on promising areas and opportunities for advisory and assistance as well as a direct involvement of the US Advisor in the university's educational and research activities.

Colleagues from the United States reiterated their readiness to further enhance cooperation with the Ukrainian side on training military personnel.
