According to her, women in Britain join the army more often than they used to and occupy both junior and senior positions.
- In the 90's, women were allowed to serve in the Royal Navy. When I was young, the army did not have women in leadership positions, there was no gender equality policy. Nowadays, more and more women serve as the senior officers, commanders, "explained Eleanor Stack.
She added that in her country the every efforts are made to provide the specialists hold positions regardless their gender. In Britain the percentage of women in the Armed Forces has increased from 5% to 48%. However, at the command level women comprise only 3%.
