The University was visited by representatives of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Denmark

A military delegation from the Kingdom of Denmark paid a working visit to the University as a part of international military cooperation activities.

The delegation included a military adviser, Lt. Col. Jens Jacobsen, and a senior military adviser at the National Defence University of Ukraine, Mr. Frank Eppesen.

During the visit, the foreign guests met with the heads of educational and scientific departments of the NDU lead by the Deputy Commandant of the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovskyi for Academic Affairs, Major General Serhii Salkutsan.

During the briefing, representatives of the University acquainted foreign partners with the system of military training and the main directions of transformation of the military education system in Ukraine. In particular, the participants had the opportunity to exchange views on the role, place and further development and improvement of leadership courses at various levels in the educational activities of the University and in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in general. Representatives of the University also acquainted the guests with the achievements and promising areas in the fields of scientific activity.

In addition, during the meeting, important attention was paid to the issue of language training. Participants stressed that knowledge of a foreign language is one of the key factors of interoperability in the interaction of the Ukrainian military with representatives of partner countries. And in this area, the university makes a lot of effort, creating and conducting language training courses for servicemen and employees of the security and defence sector of Ukraine.

During the discussions, the parties identified promising areas for further cooperation in order to jointly improve the process of training officers for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
