The CIVELT Teachers' Training Course for English Language Teachers started at the NDUU

Today, on February 24, the CIVELT Teachers' Training Course for English Language Teachers was launched at the Foreign Languages Educational and Scientific Center ( FLERC) of the UNDU named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi. The aim of the course is to develop teaching skills and master the methodology of teaching English for Specific Purpose.

The course and certification of teachers will be conducted with the assistance of the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Ukraine in cooperation with the British Council in Ukraine and with the support of the Department of Military Education, Science, Social and Humanitarian Policy of the MOU.

At the opening ceremony the Deputy Commandant of the University for Academic Affairs, Major-General Serhii Salkutsan, expressed confidence in the importance of this course, which will help teachers to master methodological tools and to hone English teaching skills taking into account the aims and  objectives of target classes.

The Regional English Program Manager, Mr Simon Etherton, wished all the participants further success in their professional development and introduced the course coach.

The class will be conducted by Mr. Robert Buckmaster - a trainer and consultant in teaching English for Specific Purpose, an innovator,and the author of several books on teaching English, a member of the Latvian Association of English Teachers.

The course will last at the university until February 28.
