UN Staff and Liaison Officers are been trained in University

Multinational Staff Officers Training and Research Centre (MSOTRC) is conducting UN Staff and Liaison Officers Course (07.10–08.11.2019).

The course is set up for preparation of UN staff and liaison officers and provides theoretical and practical training according to UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations standards.

After familiarizing with basics of the UN Headquarter work, the course participants proceed to the UN planning process byUN headquarter sections,in accordance with the scenario.

In the framework ofinternational cooperation, instructors from Swedish Armed Forces International Centre – SWEDINT lieutenant colonel Arthur Armstrong and major Peter Sterner take part in the course.

It should be noted, that the exchange of experience with Swedish Armed Forces International Centre – SWEDINT on training of peacekeeping personnel for participation in international peacekeeping operations lasts for ten years and is an important element of military cooperation for MSOTRC.During the course, not only MSOTRC teachers but also the course participants have opportunity to exchange their experience with foreign colleagues and gain new knowledge on the topic of the course.

Practical phase of the course to be conducted in International Peacekeeping and Security Centre of National Academy of Ground Forces, where the course participants will  add to UN planning process information collection and situation analysis according to the scenario which is very similar to the realities of the UN missions.
