High-level Strategic Advisor to the MoD and AF Reform Committee from the Republic of Lithuania spoke at the National Defense University of Ukraine

Today, November 19, the high  level strategic adviser to the Reform Committee of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Strategic Adviser of Defense Reform in Ukraine) from the Republic of Lithuania visited the National University of Defense of Ukraine, Major-General (retired) Vitalius Vykshnoras.

During the visit, a foreign representative met with students of the NDU institute of state military administration.

Vitalius Vykshnoras  who is a commandant of the Baltic Defense College, Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Lithuania, Lithuanian Military Representative to NATO and the EU, held a briefing concerning the experience of defense reform in the Baltic States. He shared his views on leadership issues, in particular at the strategic level, as a central component of the professional growth of a military specialist.

- The main purpose of the Group of Strategic Foreign Advisers is to provide advisory assistance to the institutions and structures of the Defence Ministry and the Armed Forces of Ukraine in reforming and realizing your intention to become a NATO member, - emphasized the Strategic Advisor from the Republic of Lithuania.

During the visit, a round table was organized with scientific and pedagogical staff of the university on the topic of improving the professional military education system based on the experience of the NATO members.
