- The collective projects defence was conducted remotely by the students of the strategic level supreme command course (L4) for the first time at the National Defence University of Ukraine
As a part of the educational activities and in accordance with the curriculum of the strategic level supreme command course (L4), on the 9-th and 10-th of April, 2020, the students defended remotely the collective projects on the topic "Strategy of the neutralization of the military conflict between Ukraine and Russian Federation" in the framework of the module “Ensuring the National Security”.
For the first time, the defence of the collective projects was carried out on-line using the Moodle platform under the management of the acting Head of the Department of the National Security and Defence Strategy, Colonel Yevhen Pankratov, and with the active participation of the pedagogical staff, namely: Professor Vasyl Telelym, Professor Viacheslav Kosevtsov and Professor Anatolii Lobanov. 41 students from three study groups and the pedagogical staff of the department participated in the projects defence using “BigBlueButton” webinar mode.
To conduct the collective projects defence the webinar moderator and course director, Professor Anatolii Lobanov created the virtual "rooms" where officers presented their projects. After that, the discussion of the proposed strategies and the search for consolidated ways of neutralizing the military conflict with Russian Federation were conducted.
The pedagogical staff of the department appreciated the creative thinking of the students during the work on the projects in an intense period of the ADL platform utilization. The pedagogical staff also have deepened the experience of using modern technologies in the educational process of the University.
This experience demonstrates the effectiveness of the new approaches in the higher military education oriented on the NATO standards.
