A military-strategic game was held at the university with students of the institute of state military management

During the January 29-30, students of the Institute of State Military Management of the University conducted a military-strategic game on the topic related to the development of proposals for the State Defence Concept and the draft of the State Defence Plan.

The military-strategic game was developed and conducted by specialists of the Department of National Security and Defence Strategy. This event is the next stage of a comprehensive methodological strategic task. The main objective of the training session was: to familiarize the students with the methods of preparing and making strategic decisions in the defence sphere; improving the practical skills of assessing the military-political and military-strategic situation, as well as the capabilities of the defence forces; familiarization with the organization of the work of the strategic level military management bodies according to the NATO standards (in J-structure).

As a result of the military-strategic game, students acquire competencies, which will allow them to identify problems in the areas of national and military security of the state, understand the processes of ensuring the national security of Ukraine in the conditions of internal and external threats influence, make reasonable proposals for improving the legislative and regulatory support in the areas of national and military security.

According to the professor of the Department of Strategy of National Security and Defense Vasilii Telelim, this game is of actual practical and theoretical nature and conducting a practical training of such a focus is essential for the formation of modern leaders at the strategic level. As a result of the event, the students showed a high interest in solving tasks, as well as persistence in the grounding and argumentation of the decisions made in certain positions.
