DEAR COLLEAGUES
Military History Research Centre would like to invite you to participate in the І International Scientific-Practical Conference “Ukrainian Army: modernity and Historical Retrospective”. Scientific-Practical Conference will be held on November 27, 2020 in online mode.
PURPOSE OF THE CONFERENCE
coverage of historical origins and activities of the Ukrainian army at different stages of the struggle for the Ukrainian state, participation of Ukraine in the International peacekeeping operations, experience of countering current hybrid threats, counter and deterrence the Russian Federation aggression against Ukraine, discussion of the results of the military history researches, research work on military history, conducted at the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi.
TOPICS OF DISCUSSION PANELS
1. The experience of the use of the Security and Defence Forces in the Joint Forces Operation (anti-terrorist operation).
2. The Ukrainian Revolution 1917–1921: military and historical aspect.
3. Ukraine and the Ukrainians during the World War II.
4. Armed protection of Ukrainian lands from ancient times to the beginning of the ХХІ century.
5. Historical experience of the military personnel training.
6. Participation of Ukraine in the peacekeeping operations.
7. Pastoral care in Ukrainian troops: experience, problems and perspectives and the phenomenon of the volunteer movement in Ukraine.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE CONFERENCE
An application for participation in the І International scientific-practical conference and abstracts in an electronic form are accepted via the electronic address of the organizing committee.
Abstracts that contain confidential information are not accepted.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ABSTRACTS
1. Abstracts of one page are accepted for publishing.
2. Abstracts are submitted in an electronic form as a file made in a text editor MS Word and saved in *.rtf format. The file name should include the author's last name and initials. For example, the file should be named “PetrenkoAB.rtf”.
3. Abstracts should include: surname and initials of the author; scientific degree; academic status; job; title and text of abstracts.
4. Page and text parameters: all margins – 20 mm; Times New Roman font, size 12, spacing – 1.2; paragraph indentation – 10 mm.
5. To abstract should include information about author: surname, name and patronymic (in full), place of employment, position and rank, scientific degree, academic rank, contact phone number, email address.
6. Abstracts should not contain confidential information.
7. Abstract marked “Abstract for the conference” should be sent to the following address: nashyvochnicov@nuou.org.ua.
