On the working meeting with the Defence Attache оf the British Embassy in Ukraine

As a part of the international cooperation activities, a working meeting of the National Defense University of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovskyi representatives and the Defence Attache of the British Embassy in Ukraine, Colonel David Vorner, were held.

The reputable guest and the Deputy Commandant of NDU for Academic Affairs, major-general Sergei Salkutsan discussed the main directions of cooperation with the defence department of the Great Britain. In particular, the possibilities of expanding cooperation between the NDUU and the British Academy of Defence have been identified.

During the discussion, considerable attention were focused on the prospect of British assistance in the implementation of the project of the School of Defence Management launching, which was assigned to the University by the Minister of Defence of Ukraine.

Besides, the arrangements were made for the cooperation in the development and implementation of the Operational planning process (OPP) course for the University lecturers. Representatives of the ORBITAL Training Mission can provide significant assistance on this matter.

“In our estimation, the National Defense University of Ukraine is the focal point of the of military education reform process in Ukraine. This is where progressive and relevant ideas are initiated. Therefore, we are ready to provide the university with comprehensive support in the future”. ‒ colonel David Warner emphasized.

Also, within the framework of the event, the parties discussed the details of the NDUU Institute of State Military Management students visit the British Academy of Defense, which is scheduled for the near future.
