Finish of the online language testing advanced and professional course in accordance with NATO standard STANAG 6001

The Language Testing and Research Centre of the Foreign Language Education and Research Center of the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi completed the online language testing advanced and professional course for scientific and pedagogical personnel in accordance with NATO standard STANAG 6001 (STANAG 6001 Language Testing Course). The five-day study was conducted online by specialists of the Language Testing Research Center of the Foreign Language Education and Research Center. The working language of the course was English.

The course was developed in accordance with the methodological materials of the NATO Bureau for International Language Co-ordination (BILC), which allows usage of the best practices for language testing specialists’ training. The course participants had an opportunity to meet BILC experts online.

Participants of the course are scientific and pedagogical and scientific personnel of the language training units of the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi, Military Instutute of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Zhytomyr Military Institute named after S.P. Korolyov, Kharkiv National University of the Air Force named after Ivan Kozhedub, Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy, Department of Military Training of Kamianets-Podilskyi Ivan Ohiienko National University, Military Academy of Odesa, National University "Odesa Maritime Academy", as well as the representatives of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine.

During the course the students obtained new knowledge on the development and methods of language tests conducting in accordance with NATO STANAG 6001.

Based on the results of testing and evaluation of the students work, the graduates of the course will be issued a Certificate of scientific and scientific and pedagogical personnel advanced training on language testing in accordance with the requirements of NATO STANAG 6001.

The annual courses are planned to be held in the future, involving not only scientific and scientific and pedagogical personnel of language training units of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, but also from the higher educational institutions of the security and defence sector of Ukraine.
