International brigade commandand staff exercise with the participation of officers of the Lithuanian Military Academy has been completed

On the basis of the National Defence University of Ukraine the international brigade command-staff exercise(CSE) was completed. It involved more than 100 officers - students of the command and staff institute of troops (forces) implementation of the NDU, as well as trainees and instructors of the command and staff course of the General Military Academy named after General Jonas Jamaitis.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine MarusYanuconis was accompanied by Colonel AlgirdasNorkus, Defence Attaché of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine, Romania and Moldova.

On behalf of the NDU management, Deputy Сommander of the NDU foreducational affairs, Major General SerhiiSalkutsan thanked all the participants for their active participation as a united international team.

Such joint command and staff training with the participation of representatives from Ukraine and Lithuania has beenconducted at the NDU for the third consecutive year.

‒ Lithuania is always happy to continue to assist Ukraine in the military field. We will continue to support this initiative in holding similar joint events with your country and the University, ‒ said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine Mr. MarusYanuconis.

He also expressed confidence that these international CSE would be another important step that would bring Ukraine closer to NATO.

The possibility of organizing a similar international brigade command-staff exerciseat the NDU next year is currently being arranged.
