Training of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the English language course completed with the participation of instructors of the US Military Institute of Foreign Languages

As part of the project, which was initiated with the assistance of the US Embassy's Department of Defence Cooperation in Ukraine, the training of officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine in the English language course has been completed on the basis of National Defense University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi.

The Defense Attaché at the US Embassy in Ukraine, Colonel Thomas Wofford, came to congratulate the officers, the course trainees, and the end of the training.

For two-and-a-half months, English classes were held at the multinational stall Officers Training and research Center of NDU contemporary language laboratories, equipped with specialists from the United States of America.

In this format, the training for the officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, organized in the format of teaching in the American language course ALC system, was conducted by teachers-instructors from the Mobile Training Group of the US Foreign Languages Institute (ALCPT) ‒ Mrs. Lisa Lundin and Mr. Brian Spencer.

According to the officers, the training was conducted in an interesting, dynamic, interactive plane. Speaking with native speakers has greatly greatly facilitated oles coming language burrier the formation of phonetic and intonation skills, the habit of expressing their thoughts in English only.

The rising numbers increasing the number of English-speaking officers increase Ukraine's interoperability with the United States as well as with other NATO members states.
