Military Students Graduation Ceremony from the Leadership Courses of Operational and Tactical Level and Operational and Strategic Level of the Higher Academic Courses

On June 27, 2019 the graduation ceremony of the military students from the leadership courses of the operational and tactical level and operational and strategic level of the Higher academic courses were held at the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovkyi.

25 servicemen, the representatives from the departments of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, services of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, higher military educational establishments and scientific institutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who had already achieved the scientific degrees and academic ranks, were studying and training during six months.

During the training, the military students mastered the academic programs developed on the basis of the corresponding programs of the strategic and operational levels of the Baltic Defence College. Moreover, a new modular structure with some differences borrowed from the countries-partners. A new module content was developed taking into consideration the necessity to implement the defence reforms in Ukraine as well as to meet the requirements for the operational and strategic levels military specialists’ training in modern conditions.

After the courses completion the officers received the professional qualification – a specialist in defense sphere, an officer of military management, operational and strategic (operational and tactical) level and got the right to occupy positions of operational and strategic (operational and tactical) level.

Commandant of the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi, Lieutenant General Anatolii Syrotenko, congratulated the officers on successful completion of the leadership courses and expressed the hope that the acquired knowledge and gained skills during the studying will be used by the officers in the course of their military service as well as thanked graduates and scientific and pedagogical staff of the university for fruitful work aimed at achieving a common goal.
