The professional development course on the fundamentals of organization and methodology of English language teaching for novice teachers, titled "Introduction to English Language Teaching"

The professional development course on the fundamentals of organization and methodology of English language teaching for novice teachers, titled "Introduction to English Language Teaching Methodology", is conducted to develop professional competencies in the field of foreign language teaching and methodology for academic staff of foreign language departments in the security and defenсe sector who do not have specialized education or have less than two years of foreign language teaching experience.

The graduates of the Course are qualified to:

  • organize the educational process for English language teaching in higher education institutions within the security and defence sector;
  • define the objectives, tasks, and expected outcomes of sessions, taking into account the learners’ language proficiency levels (students, cadets);
  • develop teaching materials for sessions in accordance with curriculum requirements and recommendations;
  • select, adapt, and apply teaching and methodological resources that align with educational goals and support the development of foreign language communicative competence;
  • use methods, techniques, and technologies of foreign language teaching aimed at developing all types of language skills (listening, reading, speaking, and writing);
  • organize instructional interaction and maintain effective communication during classroom activities;
  • develop their professional pedagogical communication skills, and continuously improve their foreign language competence, which is required for effective teaching.

The professional development course on the fundamentals of organizing and English language teaching by novice teachers, titled "Introduction to English Language Teaching Methodology", is conducted once per academic year.
