The professional development course for language training instructors on the organization and methodology of foreign language teaching

The professional development course for language training instructors on the organization and methodology of foreign language teaching is designed to provide essential foundational knowledge and skills in organizing and conducting foreign language instruction for service members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The course is intended for those designated as language training instructors at their places of service and assigned responsibilities for conducting English language sessions for other service members without interrupting their official service duties.

The graduates of the Course are qualified to:

• organize and conduct English language sessions in accordance with approved curricula, methodological guidelines, and instructional materials;
• define specific learning objectives for each session and formulate expected learning outcomes;
• develop instructional materials and lesson plans within the framework of the standard structure;
• apply teaching materials and resources to organize language training for service members;
• use teaching methods and techniques aimed at developing the four language skills (listening, reading, speaking, and writing);
• organize service members’s learning activities and maintain foreign language communication throughout the training process;
• ensure control over the implementation of educational tasks and provide individual feedback and recommendations;
• improve their own professional competence, methodological knowledge, and teaching skills.

The professional development course for language training instructors on the organization and methodology of foreign language teaching is conducted once per academic year.

Language of instruction: English
Participant requirements: English language proficiency of no lower than SLP 2222 according to NATO STANAG 6001.
