The Department of Leadership is a structural subdivision of the Professional Military Education Institute “Leadership School” and is subordinated to the Institute Chief.

Department Tasks:

• professional military education for strategic and operational level officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the security and defence sector of Ukraine in management theories, models and practices of military leadership;
• participation in education of military specialists in the following areas: national security in the military sphere, defence planning and management, crisis management;
• participation in the education of military specialists under the Master’s Degree and Doctor of Philosophy programs for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the security and defence sector of Ukraine;
• conducting educational activities in English;
• participation in the education of military specialists of foreign countries;
• participation in the advanced training of military, employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, officials of other components of the security and defence sector of Ukraine and civil servants;
• conducting scientific, technical, and innovative activities in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the security and defence sector of Ukraine;
• development of the regulatory, legal, and educational material and technical base for educational activities;
• ensuring the cultural and spiritual development of the individual, educating personnel in the spirit of patriotism and respect for the Constitution of Ukraine.
