The department of electromagnetic warfare plays an important role in the training of specialists in the field of electronic warfare. The main tasks of the department are the training of highly qualified military specialists of the second (master's) level of higher education for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations and law enforcement agencies of the state in the field of knowledge 25 "Military sciences, national security, security of the state border", from the specialty 254 "Security of troops ( forces)", specialization "Organization of radio electronic warfare", to obtain the professional qualification "professional in the field of support of troops (forces), operational level officer" and participation in the training of highly qualified military specialists for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations and law enforcement agencies of the state in the direction electromagnetic (radioelectronic) combat.

Scientific-pedagogical staff of the Department of Electromagnetic Warfare prepare students of the National Defense University of Ukraine on the organization and conduct of radio-electronic (electromagnetic) warfare in modern conditions, taking into account the experience gained during the repulsion of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, as well as on the basis of the analysis of the results of the repulsion aggression take an active part in the development of recommendations on expanding the capabilities of the Defense Forces of Ukraine to achieve superiority over the enemy in the use of the electromagnetic spectrum thanks to the conduct of radio-electronic (electromagnetic) warfare.
