The Department of Information and Analytical Technologies trains highly qualified military specialists of the second (master's) level of higher education for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations and law enforcement agencies of the state in the field of knowledge 25 "Military sciences, national security, security of the state border", from the specialty 254 "Security troops (forces)", specialization "Information and analytical support of military administration bodies", to obtain the professional qualification "professional in the field of support of troops (forces), operational level officer" and carries out scientific and scientific and technical support of the processes of information and analytical support of military authorities management.

One of the main tasks of the department is the training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel of the highest category (Doctor of Science, Doctor of Philosophy) of the third (educational-scientific) level of higher education for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations and law enforcement agencies in the field of knowledge 12 "Information Technologies" in the specialty 126 "Information systems and technologies" (122 "Computer science") and directly participates in the conduct of professional military education courses for operative (L-3) officers.

The study and implementation of international standards (EU and NATO), regarding military decision-making procedures (MDMP, OPP), research of innovations and information technologies in the military sphere is a priority for the department in the conditions of reforming the Armed Forces of Ukraine into the defense system of European partner countries.
