The chair of theory, methodology and organization of physical training and sports is a structural unit of the institute. The chair trains military specialists in higher military operational-strategic and operational-tactical levels of education with a qualification level - "master" for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military units of the state, as well as training specialists in tactical education in the specialty "Physical culture and sport" for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, law enforcement agencies, rescue and other special services.
The main activities: the implementation of educational, methodical, scientific and scientific-technical activities; participation in the improvement of the regulatory and material and technical base for the provision of educational activities; training and advanced training of teaching staff, scientific and pedagogical workers, the implementation of plans for their training in the troops (forces), structural subdivisions of the central office of the Ministry of Defence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of the specialty; ensuring the cultural and spiritual development of military personnel and university staff.
