Department of Theory, Methodology, and Organization of Physical Training and Sports

The Department of Theory, Methodology, and Organization of Physical Training and Sports is a core structural unit of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Physical Culture and Sports and Health Technologies (hereinafter referred to as "the Institute") of the National Defense University of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as "the University"). The Department carries out educational, methodological, scientific, and scientific-technical activities.

The main tasks of the Department include:

to ensure the attainment of higher education degrees by individuals:

master’s degree in specialty A7 "Physical Culture and Sports", specialization "Physical Education and Sports – M", under the part-time form of study at the tactical level of military education;
bachelor’s degree in specialty A7 "Physical Culture and Sports", specialization "Physical Education and Sports", under the full-time form of study at the tactical level of military education;
bachelor’s degree in specialty A7 "Physical Culture and Sports", specialization "Physical Education and Sports – Z", under the part-time form of study (not involving the tactical level of military education);
to participate in the organization and delivery of advanced training courses for physical training and sports specialists and physical-sports rehabilitation personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
to participate in the delivery of the elective course "Endurance and Survival on the Battlefield" for cadets of the Institute;
to contribute to the training of specialists at the educational and scientific level in specialties A7 "Physical Culture and Sports" and A1 "Educational Sciences";
to conduct methodological, scientific, and scientific-technical activities;
to participate in the improvement of regulatory, legal, and material-technical support for educational activities;
to ensure the training and professional development of academic and scientific-pedagogical staff, including the implementation of internship plans in military units and formations, as well as in structural subdivisions of the central apparatus of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in accordance with the relevant specialty;
to promote the cultural and spiritual development of military personnel and University staff, fostering patriotism and respect for the Constitution of Ukraine among service members;
to organize and manage sports and mass participation events within the University.
