Greeting by the Commandant of the National Defence University of Ukraine on the Day of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Dear servicemen and servicewomen, civilian personnel, and veterans of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,

Please accept my sincere congratulations on the Day of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine!

Today, the Ukrainian Naval Forces stand as a symbol of professionalism, resilience, and determination. Under the exceptionally challenging conditions of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, they not only accomplish combat missions with distinction but are also reshaping the very nature of modern naval warfare. Defending Ukraine's maritime borders, ensuring the security of navigation, deterring the enemy, and delivering precision strikes against its forces and assets have become an essential part of our nation's defence and our struggle for freedom.

Behind every successful combat mission are rigorous training, courage, military professionalism, and unwavering devotion to the Ukrainian people. Officers, commanders, sailors, and all personnel of the Naval Forces demonstrate every day that the Ukrainian Navy is capable of operating effectively, achieving victory, and safeguarding the national interests of our state.

On this day, we pay our deepest tribute to the servicemen and servicewomen of the Naval Forces who gave their lives defending Ukraine's independence and territorial integrity. Their sacrifice will forever remain in the history of our nation and in the grateful memory of future generations.

The National Defence University of Ukraine is proud to educate officers who strengthen the combat capability of the Defence Forces of Ukraine, advance military science and art, and integrate modern combat experience into military education and training.

I wish all servicemen and servicewomen, veterans, and civilian personnel of the Naval Forces of Ukraine good health, fortitude, steadfast comradeship, continued success in service, and unwavering faith in our country.
