- ‘Justice for the Military’: The Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Defence, and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs have launched a joint social project for defenders
The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, has launched a new social project called ‘Justice for Military Personnel,’ aimed at raising legal awareness among military personnel, veterans, and their families.
The aim of the project is to provide military personnel and their families with important legal information and raise their awareness of legal issues through a series of short videos. The initiative offers video consultations on the most relevant topics: how to properly file a report, appeal a medical examination committee's decision, receive free prosthetics or medical services without queuing, exercise the right to financial assistance, what to do in case of disappearance or capture, and how to seek free legal aid.
Thanks to the support of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, these videos are broadcast at railway stations and on Intercity trains so that military personnel and their loved ones can see important and relevant information while travelling around the country. All videos are translated into sign language so that as many of our defenders as possible can receive the necessary legal support.
The Justice for the Military project is another important step in strengthening state communication aimed at improving the legal awareness of military personnel. In parallel with this project, the Ministry of Justice is also implementing another initiative – a special project called ‘The Rights of Defenders,’ which provides practical legal advice on a wide range of issues related to military service.
