Greeting of the Commandant of the National Defence University of Ukraine on the Day of the National Guard of Ukraine

Dear servicemen and women of the National Guard of Ukraine. Please accept my sincere congratulations on your professional holiday.

You are where it is hardest: on the front line, in cities and villages, in the fight against the enemy and in safeguarding the peace of our citizens. Today, the National Guard is a force that sustains the internal resilience of the state and, together with fellow defenders, confidently destroys the enemy on the battlefield.

Your endurance, determination, and devotion to service are the foundation on which Ukraine’s security stands.

We bow our heads to those who gave their lives for the state. Their sacrifice lives on in our memory and in every victory.

Thank you for your service — honest, demanding, and critically important. For the sense of security you return to people. For the faith you give to the nation.

May you always have the strength, resilience, and inner light to endure. And may every step you take lead you home — to those who are waiting.
