Honour to those who forge Victory in the skies!

In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 305/93 of August 16, 1993, the last Saturday of August is celebrated in Ukraine as Aviation Day — the professional holiday of warrior-aviators who fight daily for air superiority, destroy the enemy from the air, and provide support on land and at sea. Their actions are a combination of skill, professionalism, courage, and endurance.

Since the beginning of the large-scale invasion, these missions and qualities have taken on special significance. Both flight and technical personnel operate under challenging conditions, demonstrating cohesion, determination, and resilience.

The training of aviation officers is an important area of activity at the National Defence University of Ukraine. Our graduates are those who, every day, pilot steel birds and make responsible decisions in critical and uncertain situations.

The University community sincerely thanks all warrior-aviators — commanders, pilots, technicians, engineers, navigators, logisticians, and signal officers. We are proud of your achievements, your strength of spirit, and your professionalism, which are examples of dedication, honour, and endurance.
